About the book

Eat Pray Love meets Want. Wayward Women is the unfiltered, unruly, wildly funny memoir of two veteran travel journalists finding their way again after divorce — and finding each other along the way.

Bouncing between Florida and India, Lapland and Hong Kong, Tracey and her co-author Rhonda Carrier trade chapters as they navigate the whole midlife circus — love, loss, parenthood, menopause, grief, dating apps, ayahuasca in Peru, mermaid school in Weeki Wachee — and the women they meet along the way who prove reinvention is a lifelong sport.

It's a book about freedom more than romance. About friendship as the great love story of midlife. About refusing the script.

Published in hardback by Bedford Square Publishers on 29 January 2026, with the paperback out 13 August 2026. Grew out of the pair's Wayward Wimmin Substack — which is still going.
